Kruger Park Safaris & Accommodation

Summit Tours and Safaris SafariAds-SafariSpecials

Basic information:

In the Kruger Park there are two kinds of rest camp; Main rest camps and Bushveld rest camps.

The main rest camps are fitted with a shop, kitchen and braai facilities, a restaurant, a cafeteria where you can serve yourself, public telephones, first-aid centres and a filling station. They have electricity and evening film shows of wildlife and conservation as well as holiday programmes which are arranged in most of the main rest camps. Each main rest camp is manned by a staff of fully trained information staff.

The Bushveld camps are smaller than the main camps. They provide a more remote, secluded form of accommodation and are restricted to the overnight visitors with reserved accommodation. They lack the shops and restaurants of the main camps and open verandas serve as kitchens and dining rooms. Toilets, utensils, crockery, cutlery and a stove are provided for each unit.
